Goodbye Ana, Welcome Phoebe…

Life at COTA is never dull! In the last 3 weeks, 3 of us have returned from Colombia full of enthusiasm and excitement for all the work we are supporting out there, and we have gained a new member of our team.

So we’d like to welcome Phoebe Prynn to COTA, who has just started an internship with us this week. Phoebe is currently studying Latin American Studies & Spanish at University as well as Colombian Sign language.

She was first inspired to explore Latin America by her friends from Colombia and Chile, where she discovered their vibrant culture, beautiful writers, fascinating political history…and empanadas! She has a passion for promoting human rights and children’s welfare, particularly making bilingual education accessible to children from challenging economic backgrounds.

Phoebe – welcome to our team, we really hope you enjoy working with us and we’d like to thank you in advance for your support.

We’d also like to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU to all of our volunteers at COTA. Our volunteers are such an important part of our team and we are grateful for each and everyone one of you, and your commitment to building a better future for vulnerable children in Colombia.

In particular we would like to thank Ana Maria Martinez for all her help at COTA over the last year. Ana has provided invaluable support to our small finance team in London. We wish her the best of luck in her new job as a research and business analyst in the not for profit sector. Ana – we miss you already and hope you will keep in touch. THANK YOU!
